"A Patriot's Night Before Christmas"

By Brian Johnson

It was the night before Christmas, and all through the Land,
Not a peasant was stirring, not even Uncle Sam.
The detainees were hung by the NDAA without trial,
In the U.S. this can’t happen, we were still in denial.

The Congress was nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of dollar signs danced in their heads.
And Obama in the Oval Office, and Michelle on his lap,
“We have all the power,” let’s build more FEMA camps.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
The peasants rose up, freedom from the dictator.
Away to the window Obama flew like a flash,
“You can’t do this, to Guantanamo with your ass”.

The blood on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave proof that Revolution was happening now.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
The military with jets and tanks, the crowd with a cheer.

With a little old general, so stoic and tall,
I knew in a moment it must be Ron Paul!
More rapid than eagles with power they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Jefferson! now, Adams! now, Franklin and Madison!
On, Hamilton! On, Paine!, John Jay and George Washington!
We defend the Constitution! Freedom and Liberty for all!
This government’s illegal! The regime, it will fall!"

With the flag on their side, the jets they would fly,
To eliminate all obstacles, no threats from the sky.
To the doors of the White House, the peasants they marched,
With fear in his eyes, the dictator, he watched.

And then, in a twinkling, Obama heard on the roof
Special Forces were closing, get rid of the proof.
Obama called for his back up, Pelosi and Reid
Come quick and come now, your help is in need.

Ron Paul dressed all in camo, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with gun powder and soot.
A bundle of guns he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a soldier, just ready to attack.

His eyes-filled with fire! his stare it was scary!
His rage it was burning, his determination unweary!
With a bellow he yelled, “Get Obama right now,
Take him outside to be judged by the crowd.”

In front of the judge, he admitted defeat,
With Pelosi and Reid, life in prison they need.
The Congress who voted for detention were deemed traitors,
To prison for now, your trial will come later!

The Constitution restored, the crowd they cheered loud,
To Ron Paul they all yelled, “Please make money sound!”
Ron Paul gave a turn and to Bernanke he said,
“Your job is all done, this is the End of the Fed.”

He spoke no more words, but went straight to his tasks,
An end to the war, let’s be peaceful at last.
The troops they came home, this country they defend,
The world watched in awe, this was not pretend!

His last job, restore the free market
Government no longer in Corporations pocket.
And we heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a free life!"
