Raw Story

scarypope Smoking gun letter reveals official Vatican cover up of child sex abusesA letter written by a Vatican official in 1997, marked "strictly confidential," warned Irish bishops to avoid reporting the sexual abuse of children in the church, in hopes of avoiding public fallout from the scandals that were sure to ensue.

Alfred Kinsey's Atrocities: Part 2

Child-rape victim's story prompts probe for more
Lawyers seek 'justice' for children targeted in 1940s sex 'research'

Editor's note: The following report is part of WND's ongoing, multipart investigation into alleged crimes committed by sex-research pioneer Alfred Kinsey and his Kinsey Institute.

WASHINGTON – Liberty Counsel, a Virginia-based public-interest law firm, is "seriously looking" at initiating legal action – including possibly a class-action lawsuit – against the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University.

Pioneering sex scientist Alfred Kinsey, widely considered the father of the sexual revolution whose influential research helped transform America's morals and sex laws, has been accused by critics of shoddy scholarly standards and, much more shockingly, participating in or encouraging the sexual molestation of hundreds of children to gather "research data."

"Kinsey and the Kinsey Institute should be held accountable for the massive fraud they've perpetrated on the United States and the world," said Mathew Staver, attorney and founder of Liberty Counsel...

How a Kinsey victim lives with molestation trauma
'Esther White' interview exposes 'evil' scientific research: Part 2

Editor's note: Yesterday, WND published the first part of an exclusive interview with "Esther White" (a pseudonym). In it, she described the sexual molestation she suffered at the hands of her father and grandfather during the course of the famed Kinsey sex research, and revealed that Kinsey and his colleagues were aware that she was being abused, and indeed witnessed her father being paid by Kinsey. The balance of the interview explores how the molestation affected White throughout her life, her stunning spiritual conversion and why she came forward to speak out about Kinsey.

WND: How has being abused affected you emotionally?

EW: I think what's bothered me most in my life is that they used me. I was an experiment. They used me as an experiment. I don't want to be used by anyone. It's dehumanizing...

T. Don Hutto Detention Guard Arrested For Fondling Female Detainees

Ex-Texas immigrant detention guard arrested

The former resident supervisor at a central Texas immigrant detention camp was arrested Thursday and accused of fondling female detainees en route to their deportations.

Williamson County deputies arrested Donald Charles Dunn, 30, in Austin just before 5 p.m. and charged him with three counts of official oppression and two counts of unlawful restraint, according to a statement from the Williamson County Sheriff's Office. Bond was set at $35,000.

No attorney was shown in county jail records for Dunn.

According to the statement, three women told investigators that they were fondled during unscheduled stops while Dunn was driving them from the Hutto camp to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport for deportation.

The statement said Dunn told detectives that he fondled the women under the guise of frisking them, and that he had done so numerous times while a transport officer. The first report came in May...

T. Don Hutto employee fired after allegations of abuse

A transport officer at the T. Don Hutto residential facility in Taylor was fired after confessing to inappropriately touching inmates after they were released.

Donald Dunn was in charge of taking former detainees to a destination of their choice after they were released from custody.

One woman was taken to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and told an ABIA employee about the inappropriate behavior. The woman’s outcry was enough to get the investigation started.

All of the victims were females previously held by the federal government concerning their immigration status...

Boy Scouts Of America Accused Of Ignoring Sex Abuse By Troop Leaders

Former Scouts Claim They Were Abused for Years While Organization Stood By

Closing arguments begin today in a trial that could be a landmark case against the Boy Scouts of America, which is accused of covering up alleged sexual abuse of several of its Boy Scouts for years.

In a civil suit filed last month in Portland, Ore., six plaintiffs allege that the Boy Scouts of America allowed convicted child sex-offender Timur Dykes to continue to participate and lead troop activities, including sleepovers at his home with the scouts, despite complaints from parents.

The $29 million lawsuit focuses on a now 37-year-old Portland man, unnamed in the filings, who claims he was abused as a boy by Dykes while the Boy Scouts of America and the Cascade Pacific Council in Oregon, his specific Scout branch, did nothing. Dykes, who admitted the abuse, was convicted, imprisoned and is out on parole until 2013.

Furthering the plaintiffs case against the organization is admission into the trial of more than a 1,000 pages of so-called perversion files, which are confidential documents kept by the Boy Scouts of America regarding people who have been kicked out of scouting for a variety of reasons, including sex the abuse of scouts...

Child Rape Charge Rocks TSA

Logan employee pats down air travelers at scan stations

A
Transportation Security Agency worker who pats down members of the flying public was charged with multiple child sex crimes targeting an underage girl yesterday.

The bust outraged privacy and passenger advocates who say it justifies their fears about Logan International Airport’s full-body scanner.

“It’s a huge, huge issue,” said Kate Hinni of FlyersrRights.org. “The TSA needs a complete overhaul . . . If you have a pedophile looking at those naked pictures, they’ve got all your information, it’s a gross violation of their authority. . . . They should make sure none of them is corrupted in any deviant sexual manner.”...
