A number of conservative activists and bloggers say they’re furious at media magnate Glenn Beck for what they call content theft. Over the past several years, Beck has relied on video, audio and written content from others to fill his radio and television shows, as well as his websites. Often he has credited his fellow conservatives for their work. Yet in many other instances say dozens of conservative journalists who spoke to The Daily Caller, he has not, often taking elaborate steps to cloak the origins of the material.
Publisher Andrew Breitbart has seen a number of his stories surface on various Beck media properties over the past few years. While he describes himself as “grateful for the many times he has credited me and my sites,” Breitbart says that “sometimes he also uses other peoples’ work without crediting them, making it appear as though it were his own. But especially since adopting ‘The Truth Has No Agenda’ slogan – and trying to deliberately re-position himself as the pious conscience and judge of many of those he took content from – he has exposed himself to his new motto’s unforgiving standard.”...[Full Article]
It was on his Friday, April 1, program, but it was no joke. Glenn Beck, who has announced he will leave Fox News, was blatantly wearing a masonic emblem over his grey sweater, quite a conspicuous clothing accessory.
Included in the imagery is a Mason’s compass, a skull, a scroll & pen, and what appears to be 1681, a possible reference to the year Freemason William Penn founded Philadelphia (later the first capital of the United States) and Pennsylvania. Why would Beck choose this apparel? Is it an obscure reference to colonial founders or a tip-off that his allegiances lie with the secret society-elites who have long wielded power?
Beck wears the emblem during his broadcast, while hyping Islamophobia and wider mid-east war.
Glenn Beck has previously been seen sporting a Skull & Bones cummerbund, also a masonic symbol.

Last Friday, Glenn Beck did an entire show on the Federal Reserve. It had been a highly publicized show and many people were wondering how Beck was going to handle the subject. Well, to his credit, the show actually contained a lot of truth and it was definitely anti-Federal Reserve. Was the show perfect and 100% accurate? No, not by a long shot. But for a big name personality like Glenn Beck on a big cable network like Fox News to do an hour long show on why the Federal Reserve is bad is a very big deal. Many of us in the alternative media have spent a lot of time bashing the mainstream media (and rightly so), but when someone does something right, we should applaud them for it. The Federal Reserve was the topic for the entire show, and Beck and his guests discussed the creation of money, debt, the history of banking and the current financial problems of the United States. The company responsible for syndicating big conservative radio names like Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity has been using paid actors to call in to their radio shows.
According to a recent report in Tablet Magazine, Premiere Radio Networks, a subsidiary of Clear Channel Communications, hired actors to call in as guests.
A website for the Premiere On Call service was taken offline before the report was published, but a cached version of the website is still available.
However, when Raw Story contacted Premiere's entertainment division, one individual who spoke off the record claimed that the service was still being offered.
"Premiere On Call is our new custom caller service," the website said. "We supply voice talent to take/make your on-air calls, improvise your scenes or deliver your scripts. Using our simple online booking tool, specify the kind of voice you need, and we’ll get your the right person fast. Unless you request it, you won’t hear that same voice again for at least two months, ensuring the authenticity of your programming for avid listeners."

• Iranian Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh was removed via a CIA destabilization coup in 1953 known as Operation Ajax [see Terrorstorm]. Mossadegh, who was educated in the West and had a moderate, secular rule, had defied the oil companies in attempt to nationalize energy profits.
• The Muslim Brotherhood, now pivotal in Egyptian political turmoil, has been Western sponsored for decades. The CIA and other intelligence agencies partnered with the Brotherhood in opposing Nasser, who died in 1970. Similarly, Israeli, British and U.S. intelligence proved to be behind the formation and leadership of Hamas, considered an anti-Western terrorist organization.
• The United States Department of Education and State Department sponsored pro-jihadist textbooks sent to Afghanistan to radicalize children to grow up and fight the Soviet menace. The books remained a scandal when they proved to have influenced a generation of fighters that would be associated with the Taliban and al Qaeda.
•In 1979, then National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski and the contingent of U.S. backers saw these Afghans as “freedom fighters.” By the late 90s, they became more widely regarded as terrorists, who, by 2001, would grow to ‘hate our freedoms.’
• Brzezinski admitted in a 1998 interview with Nouvel Observateur that he had sponsored the Afghan warriors at least six months before the Soviet invasion, and remained “proud” of his role, quipping “What is more important in world history? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some agitated Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?”
• The United States partnered with Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq War during which over a million people were killed. The later wars/invasions under Bush, Sr., and Bush, Jr., were both waged with personal zeal against Hussein, who was patently armed and put into power by the West before he became a top enemy.
• The Clash of Civilizations thesis carved out by Samuel Huntington frames the geo-political debate of the 21st Century around divisive cultural and religious differences, citing the likelihood of widespread ideological conflict between massive regions, as in the likes of Western culture pitted against the Muslim world.
• Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden would be blamed for the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole and the 9/11 attacks. An examination of the real evidence behind America’s public enemy number one reveals that bin Laden was a U.S. asset known by the code name “Tim Osman.”
•Many of the alleged hijackers would be issued Visas to travel to the U.S. despite appearing on watchlists; their entry was approved by higher-ups and later became a scandal. Evidence put forward by FBI whistleblower and translator Sibel Edmonds indicates that the real 9/11 operation involved a ring of international intelligence including the U.S., the U.K., Israel, Turkey and others.
• Anwar al-Awlaki, who has emerged as the post-9/11 terrorist ringleader allegedly responsible for the Fort Hood shooter, the Underwear Bomber, the Time Square hoax-bomb and other smaller-scale attacks, was revealed as a Pentagon asset. Declassified documents show he dined at the Pentagon in the months following 9/11 as an invited guest at an event sponsored by the office of the Secretary of Defense.
• The attempted 2009 Christmas Day bombing of a Detroit-bound flight was blamed on one Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who was subsequently arrested and now faces trial. The official terrorist incident story fell apart, however, when fellow passengers and Detroit-based attorneys, Kurt and Lori Haskell, witnessed a “sharp-dressed man” escorting the accused terrorist onto the flight without a passport. Despite the FBI’s initial story that Abdulmutallab acted alone without other incident, the Haskell’s also indicated seeing other suspects after landing and other suspicious individuals during and after the incident on board the flight. The Haskell’s story maintained credibility. Later testimony from Patrick F. Kennedy, Undersecretary of State for Management, revealed that an ‘unnamed agency’ objected to revoking Abdulmutallab’s visa, allegedly in order to pursue a wider case in the terror network. The incident helped bring in naked body scanners in airports and contributed to re-invigorating the phony War on Terror.

I just finished watching his television program today and I figured out his "angle". Beck was talking about "THE NEW WORLD ORDER" and "GLOBALISTS" but he is saying that they are made up of the "MUSLIM EXTREMISTS", "MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD", "LIBERALS" and "MARXISTS".
Not ONCE will you hear Beck mention "ZIONISM" or "ISRAEL" as being being the puppet-masters of the "NEW WORLD ORDER". If he did that, his Zionist boss, Rupert Murdoch, would yank him off the air so fast his head would spin.
Beck laments the safety and security of Israel and even blames both World Trade Center attacks (1993 and 2001) on the "RADICAL MUSLIM EXTREMISTS"... never-mind the fact that there is overwhelming evidence that the FBI had foreknowledge of the '93 WTC bombing and there is overwhelming evidence of MOSSAD involvement in both the '93 and 2001 WTC attacks. CHICAGO -- Four hundred rabbis will publish a letter on Thursday calling on Fox News to sanction host Glenn Beck for repeated use of Nazi and Holocaust imagery and for airing attacks on World War Two survivor George Soros.
In an open letter to Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of News Corp which owns Fox, the rabbis also demand an apology from Fox News chief Roger Ailes for characterizing Beck's Jewish critics as nothing more than "left-wing rabbis."
The letter will appear as an advertisement in the News Corp-owned Wall Street Journal on Thursday for which the rabbis spent more than $100,000, a spokesman said.
A Fox News spokeswoman did not immediately comment...
In little noticed comments made during an appearance on Judge Andrew Napolitano’s show on Fox News, Glenn Beck warned that the Obama administration wouldn’t hesitate to exploit a terror attack targeting airliners to blame the event on people protesting naked body scanners and TSA groping in airports.
The Fox News host said that the government was deliberately provoking the American people to rise up so they could squelch the growing resistance with an iron fist, noting that Obama has failed to give a single speech addressing the TSA revolt even amidst the biggest holiday travel period of the year.
“Let’s get people to rise up and say no scanners….something happens, the President then has the ability to finally give a speech on airport security and say ‘I was trying to protect you and these people stood up against these scanners, and these people died because of it….you have to stop listening, I’ll protect you,” said Beck, implying that the Obama administration would exploit a terror attack to blame it on those protesting against scanners and TSA groping in airports.
Beck added that people in the Obama administration were probably having casual conversations surrounding the potential of a terror attack targeting airline travel along the lines of, “Gee, it wouldn’t be so bad, would it?”

The resistance to TSA groping and naked body scanners is only accelerating as Thanksgiving nears and a national opt-out protest is less than 48 hours away.
More and more cases of TSA abuse continue to pour in on a daily basis as Transportation Security Administration head John Pistole indicates for the first time that the agency may be starting to cave to the backlash. Pistole told CNN’s State of the Union yesterday that screening procedures would not be altered but in a subsequent statement acknowledged that the TSA needed to make airport security “as minimally invasive as possible,” in response to the building nationwide outrage and vows by numerous airport directors to ditch the TSA altogether in favor of private security.

Discussing how the leftists need violence to realize their political agenda, Beck featured a clip that we wrote an article about on Sunday, where former Clintonite and Democrat operative Mark Penn says Obama needs an OKC bombing-style event to regain his popularity.
“Remember, President Clinton reconnected through Oklahoma, right?” said Penn on Chris Matthews’ Hardball show on Thursday. “And the president right now seems removed. It wasn’t until that speech [after the bombing] that [Clinton] really clicked with the American public. Obama needs a similar” defining moment, according to Penn.
As we have documented, Penn is not the only prominent insider to invoke exploitation of terror as a means of reinvigorating the big government agenda. Back in July, former senior advisor to President Bill Clinton Robert Shapiro wrote in the Financial Times that only an OKC bombing or 9/11 style event could provide Obama with the opportunity to demonstrate that he is a strong leader.

The fact that Beck is mimicking our talking point on the threat of staged terror is another indication that he employs a team of researchers to listen regularly to the Alex Jones Show, as a prominent Fox insider told us directly earlier this year. The accuracy of the source was verified after Lou Dobbs was confirmed as joining Fox News, something we had predicted after also being told this would happen by the same source.
After years of Beck ridiculing so-called conspiracy theorists for talking about the government staging 9/11 or the Gulf of Tonkin, he is now finally beginning to realize the fact that major catalyzing events are often staged for political purposes.
Beck follows in the footsteps of fellow talk show host Michael Savage, who after similarly deriding anyone who talked about government staged terror as a conspiracy nut, is now using similar rhetoric. During his show on March 3 2009, Savage warned that the government was preparing to “create a crisis along the lines of the Reichstag fire,” and that once Obama’s contrived image began to collapse as it is now doing, “Rahm Emanuel and his gang will set off a Reichstag fire in this country of some kind,” in order to enforce a “military dictatorship”.
As most historians agree, the Reichstag fire of 1933 that allowed Adolf Hitler to persecute his political enemies was wholly if not in part the work of Hermann Göring, Joseph Goebbels, and a cadre of Nazi storm troopers who aided Communist patsy Marinus van der Lubbe in torching the government building in Berlin.
The fact that people like Beck and Savage are now openly talking about government staged terror is a revealing benchmark in how far we have come from people who broach such subjects being demonized as lunatics to the issue of false flag terror now becoming a central facet of political discourse.
Conservative talk-show host Glenn Beck kicked off his "Restoring America" tour in New Jersey to a modest crowd of around 700 people. And, it has now come to light that Glenn Beck and his staff listen to Alex Jones's radio show for ideas. What does Jones think about a big star from the highest rated cable news network using his ideas? Well, he isn't honored. Jones explained that Glenn Beck uses his ideas and repackages them in a way that pulls away from true libertarianism and the constitution. Beck uses his version of the ideas to argue that Republicans are the real change, Jones however believes they are not change at all.
When you add up the numbers of those who don’t agree with Beck on the Obama birth eligibility issue you find that a huge amount of Americans don’t agree with him.
He disappoints me greatly on this issue; Bill O’Reilly of Fox News is another matter, even he doesn’t know whether he’s a liberal or a conservative as he’s on both sides of the fence a lot. But Beck, though one of those ‘different’ libertarians at heart, has been very much on the conservative side of our country’s values. Now though he is saying, regarding the birth certificate issue, exactly what Obama’s nutcake followers are saying about it.
He has said that this contentious and growing wider in public desire for a legitimate and public airing of a valid document showing a complete non-redacted, legal Certificate of Live Birth “is he dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.” He also has foolishly stated that public discussion of this controversy is like working for the Obama Administration.
Beck has put much stock in the argument that the announcement of Obama’s birth had been placed in two local newspapers in Hawaii, but those announcements are usually originated by the state government department that issues notices when such certifications are issued. And it is common knowledge that a “Certification of Live Birth” is not an original long-form ‘Certificate” of birth which shows the hospital’s name along with the attending or delivering physician; the other short form shows neither and is not considered as proof of actual birth due to the lack of those items...
WASHINGTON – Glenn Beck may pooh-pooh the issue of Barack Obama's presidential eligibility, but some of his most loyal fans are emphatic in demanding, "Where's the Birth Certificate?"
On Beck's own website, a thread started today shows those concerned about Obama's unwillingness to document that he is a "natural-born" citizen, as the Constitution requires, running 9-to-1 over those who believe it's a non-issue.
At 2:11 p.m., a reader posted a comment on his website, The Blaze, about Democratic House Majority Whip James Clyburn's warning that if the GOP takes control of Congress in January, it will issue subpoenas regarding Obama's eligibility.
The original post included a video clip of Beck and guest Dinesh D'Souza dismissing the eligibility issue.
But within hours, more than 100 comments had been posted, and according to WND's tally, 45 of those comments questioned Obama's eligibility, and only five supported Beck's position...
Can someone help me out? Has Glenn Beck seen Obama's long form Hawaiian Birth Certificate that lists BOTH his parents as US Citizens at the time of Barry's birth?
I'm just wondering why Beck who constantly talks about "questioning with boldness" dismisses anyone that asks Barry to produce proof of his eligibility as a conspiracy theorists. I like Beck and appreciate the valuable information he has brought to the forefront, but he is completely wrong, and sadly, hypocritical on this issue. If Beck really wanted to "save" the Country, he should expose the Marxist Usurper as a fraud and let the chips fall where they may. Our Country will survive and will probably be in a better place once all the laws BHO has signed are void and those who covered up the fraud have been prosecuted. That's the fresh start that we need. It's the fastest and best way to "restore honor."

If you are a die-hard Glenn Beck fan (like I was), please keep a very open mind as you read this. Our freedom depends on it.
I know too many “ex-Glenn Beck fans” who are using the wrong approach in attempting to show you why Glenn is more of a threat to the American people than he is a truth-teller or savior. I don’t entirely fault them because I understand their frustration as well as their “sense of urgency”. The simple fact of the matter is that if “We The People” do not begin to think for ourselves, and stop the conformity, we will continue to be misled, and we will get nowhere in our fight to regain our freedom and liberties.
In my quest to understand how our country has gotten to where it is, I found Glenn Beck. Not only did he seem to have the answers, he was also providing me with excellent information about people and groups (the czars, ACORN, SEIU, Andy Stern, Anita Dunn, etc.) who surround and influence our president and our policies. I was sure Glenn had stumbled on some pretty beefy information which offered a great explanation as to why our country was going to hell in a hand basket.
For months, I never missed a Glenn Beck show. At the same time, I continued my relentless research on the internet for as much “truth” as I could get my hands on and I’m convinced this allowed me to keep a healthy perspective on “truth”. One day while watching Glenn – a warning signal sounded in myhead. In realizing just how massive of a following that Glenn was gaining, I cautioned myself to be careful and to keep an open mind. As indicated by history as well as the bible, I understood that anyone who has the ability to gain such a mass following of people also has the ability to lead that mass astray.
IN ORDER TO SUCCESSFULLY DECEIVE – YOU MUST USE TRUTH
You cannot gain a mass following by telling lies. In order to deceive, You MUST use the truth… or at the very least, what might be acknowledged as truth by the masses (more on this later).
The majority who align themselves with Glenn Beck consider themselves to be “conservatives.” If you fall into this category, you do not follow CNN or MSNBC because “you are able to see the lies.” You can’t conform to their viewpoint because there isn’t enough truth in their message to keep your attention. CNN or MSNBC cannot deceive you because you see no truth in their message. Deception can only deceive if it looks somewhat like the real thing.

BEFORE YOU UNDERSTAND “HOW” – YOU MUST UNDERSTAND “WHY”
Many of you will refuse to believe that you are being deceived by Glenn Beck because you cannot fathom any reason why he would do this. Without considering the big picture, this is understandable. Because of this, you have rationalized that the “Beck Bashers” must either be jealous of his fame and fortuneor they are just “idiot liberals.” Before we can begin to explore “how we are being deceived”, we must first ask the question, “Why?” The short answer is controlled opposition, and this is where it is crucial for many of you to gain and keep an open mind!
Some of you reading this already know that the truth (whole, entire truth) will never be televised. But, as I temporarily did, you are holding on to the hope that somehow, Beck/FOX managed to break free of this rule. You may even think that FOX has discovered that there is more money in telling the truth – so they are going to continue to do it – until the Obama Administration decides to silence them. If you believe there is any threat of FOX being shut down or of Beck being taken off the air – let me guarantee – this will never happen. Why? Because Glenn Beck is the most valuable player on Team Obama than anyone else. Why? Because the elites behind the New World Order who own “Team Obama” also own all of mainstream media.
If you know anything about “reverse psychology” - you would know that the fake little war between the Obama Administration and FOX News did nothing more than to drive more people to FOX News to see what all the fuss was about. Borderline liberals flocked to FOX News because they believed that “if Obama was trying to silence FOX, they must be telling the truth.” Oh – how easily fooled we are!
OUR OUTRAGE = A MASSIVE, PEACEFUL UPRISING/REVOLUTION? UMM. NO.
How many of us are opposed to the way our government is running our country? How many are opposed to the war? How many are opposed to the Federal Reserve? How many of us are frustrated, fed-up, sick and tired or afraid of what our future holds? How many of us now view our government as the enemy? How many of us understand that in order to defeat any enemy, we need to think like the enemy? What are they thinking?

Don’t underestimate the powers that be. Don’t underestimate those in control. They full well know that the only way they can reach their goal for the New World Order and One World Government is by controlling the opposition and making sure that the truth is kept from us. In fact, their biggest fear is that we will learn the truth because the truth WILL set us free! What chance would they have if we all rose up tomorrow against tyranny, against them? They wouldn’t have a chance! There are way too many of us. So don’t you think they have the foresight, the power, the money, the influence needed in order to carry out controlling the opposition by leading it? Yes! Of course they do!
NOW THAT YOU UNDERSTAND “WHY” – LET’S TALK ABOUT “HOW”
One good way to determine if someone is “controlled opposition” is to not just look at what they are saying – but, more importantly, look at what they are not saying!
TACTIC #1 – CONTROLLED TRUTH
You will get just enough truth, but you will never get all of it, for if you did, you would surely rise up. Look at the “Federal Reserve.” We know just enough about it to know we don’t like it. Many of us want it audited and/or abolished. What did Henry Ford say about the Federal Reserve?

Glenn Beck recently put together a very nice documentary called, “Live Free or Die.” While much truth was exhibited in his documentary, he stopped short at revealing the whole truth. Don’t you think it would have been important to know that Prescott Bush (George W. Bush’s grand-father) played a major role in funding Hitler’s rise to power? If Beck wanted to arm you with the whole truth, he would not have left this information out. Especially if it is “his calling” to warn you about our government and what they are capable of!
TACTIC #2 & 3 – MIND BENDING and DISINFORMATION
Beck instructs you to “Question Boldly” – but only those questions that he approves. Don’t you dare question 9/11!
Are you asking yourself why you didn’t know these things? The reason is because “they don’t want you to know.” You will not find the truth on mainstream news, not even FOX.
If you are led to believe that only a small, kooky minority question 9/11, or anything else for that matter – you probably won’t research it for yourself, but if you knew that the majority question it, you would either stand with the majority or spend more of your own time looking at the data and form your own opinions.
So, if the majority of the population question 9/11 – why did Glenn Beck attempt to ruin Debra Medina for not disavowing any group questioning 9/11? Seems pretty irrational once you know the truth about the numbers, doesn’t it? In fact, Debra Medina should have responded, “Senator Max Cleland, former member of the 9/11 commissioner resigned over a possible cover-up and the majority of the American people have questions about 9/11 – so, in my desire to represent the people, I fully support questioning the 9/11 Commission Report.”
How many of you, without looking into any data or doing any of your own research are using terms such as “Truthers”, “Birthers” and “Tenthers” and attaching negative connotations to these terms against the groups and experts who have done their research?

WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING
If someone is placed into a position of amassing a great following for the purpose of controlling and deceiving – they are not going to appear as a wolf. Glenn Beck has sparkly blue eyes, a great smile and a wonderful personality. It is very hard not to like him – even when you understand that he is choosing monetary wealth over the well-being of his fellow man.
Many people believed that Josef Stalin was a good man, handsome with great personality. Franklin Delano Roosevelt said, “The world has never seen greater devotion, determination, and self sacrifice, that have been displayed by the Russian people and their armies under the leadership of Marshall Josef Stalin.” In total, the estimated number of people killed under Stalin ranges between 10 million to 60 million.
Even Hitler was once loved by the people. Don’t think for one second that a charismatic leader cannot lead you astray.
WHAT IS A JUDAS SHEEP?
Many people are referring to Beck as a “judas sheep.” Here is the meaning:
Sheep are innate followers and very easily led astray. In New Zealand about 40 million sheep are led to slaughter each year. A specially selected castrated male sheep aptly called the “Judas” sheep leads the unwitting sheep to the killing floor. Unaware of what is about to happen, the sheep blindly fall in behind the Judas sheep and follow him to their deaths.
IN CLOSING
As I continued to watch Glenn Beck with an open mind, I began to see signs of deception. I began to see signs of neo-conservatism. I hadn’t even finished my “Arguing with Idiots” book. Issues and actions that were extreme violations of the Constitution and our freedoms and liberties that were discussed all over the internet went for days unmentioned on his program. If and when they were mentioned, they were not given the attention they deserve. Some were blown off entirely.
As I dug more and more into the 9/11 Truth Movement and I saw the legitimate questions coming from patriots, our war veterans, our military leaders, 9/11 commission members, aerospace engineers, experts, historians, pilots, architects and engineers, families of those killed, economists, I realized these people were not the “kooks” that Beck described. They were also not “dangerous” as Beck described. I had to ask myself why he would mislead his followers. Beck even went so far as to say that he “began hating the families of those who died on 9/11.” Someone who told us to “Question Boldly” suddenly had a zero tolerance level for questioning even from families who had more reason than anyone else to question.
I had no choice, in the face of all the evidence, to conclude that Beck is the ultimate deception because he makes the choice to deceive – as opposed to deceiving out of plain old ignorance.
I attribute much of my initial awakening to Glenn Beck - but because I knew better than to give him my complete trust (I reserve that for God) – and I knew the importance of continuing to find truth on my own (as everyone needs to do, especially now), I knew when to part ways with him. That ultimately led to me turning off the TV. I do not get my news from the TV – because the truth isn’t televised and because you should never be bullied into asking or NOT asking any question.
If Beck were truly “bucking the system” – he would have gone the way of Lou Dobbs.

If you want to know the real purpose behind Glenn Beck’s expensive, heavily publicized ‘feel good’ extravaganza, you need only watch the first ten minutes of the speech he delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
Dressed up in the NWO color of purple, and clutching purple speech cards in his hand (check out who else is fond of the color purple), Beck took center stage to issue marching orders to the thousands of gullible lemmings that attended his ‘Restoring Honor’ rally this past weekend.
Beck warmed up the crowd like any good, charismatic tent preacher would. He opened with, “Something that is beyond man is happening.America today begins to turn back to God. For too long, this country has wandered in darkness.”
After getting the women to tear up, and the men to jut out their chests, Beck’s motivational speech soon turned into a lesson in American history, that apparently began (according to Beck) when, “God’s chosen people were led out of bondage by a guy with a stick.”
As Beck’s sermon unfolded, the very first person to appear in the background (and the very first person Beck introduced) was Rabbi Daniel Lapin, a strong critic of “liberal Judaism” and a controversial figure who has been linked to former lobbyist, con man and convicted felon Jack Abramoff.
According to the Washington Post, Lapin’s specialty is “finding support in the Torah for what turns out to be the current Republican platform: lower taxes, decreased regulation, pro-traditional family policies.”
Gee whiz. And here, all this time, Beck has been telling us that his event was “not about politics.” Go figure...
Beck and Rauf aren’t strangers. In 2006, they sat down for an interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer on “Good Morning America.” Liberal watchdog group Media Matters — which frequently targets Beck and other conservative hosts — unearthed the 7-plus-minute sit-down and blasted it out on Monday.
At the time, Beck spoke out strongly against Islamic terrorism while also praising “good Muslims.” It appears that he gestures toward Rauf when making that comment...
Tonight, Glenn Beck continued to dishonestly respond to the unearthing of a 2006 roundtable discussion in which Beck appeared to call Imam Rauf a "good Muslim."
In tonight's segment, Beck purports to show (and then dismisses) the "damning, gotcha evidence" from the 2006 interview, but he actually excises a key moment from the video.
As we noted, during the 2006 discussion, when Diane Sawyer mentioned that Imam Rauf says the Islamic radicals are just a "group of people" and "not him," Beck seemed to agree, saying "sure, sure." He added, "I believe it's a small portion of Islam that is acting in these ways." Today, Beck dismissed that portion of the exchange:
After playing the "sure, sure" comment, Beck responds in exasperated fashion by saying "that's it?!" But as we noted earlier, that was not, in fact, "it." In addition to appearing to endorse Sawyer's characterization of the distinction between Rauf and extremists, Beck later appeared to gesture to Rauf when Beck invoked the idea of "good Muslims." Beck left this part of the exchange out of the video he aired tonight and didn't mention it during his televised response...
CFR Journalist Calls Tea Party Talk Seditious Joe Klein is worried. All this constitutional talk on the part of the Tea Party movement may actually lead to significant change (not Obama faux change, but the real McCoy).
Mr. Klein, who is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, does not take kindly to the commoners organizing and refusing to sit down and shut up, so over the weekend he characterized exercising the First Amendment as sedition.
“I did a little bit of research just before this show — it’s on this little napkin here,” Klein told Obama attack dog Christ Matthews. “I looked up the definition of sedition which is conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of the state. And a lot of these statements, especially the ones coming from people like Glenn Beck and to a certain extent Sarah Palin, rub right up close to being seditious.”
Mr. Klein, of course, realizes Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck will not challenge the primacy of the state — they will merely flip the rigged political game back over to the Republican side of the coin. Klein and the CFR will not be sent packing under a Republican regime. Establishment Republicans are not allergic to the CFR and its plan for world government...
