A shadowy group with ties to U.S. defense and intelligence agencies is seeking thousands of Americans to participate in a multiyear study at taxpayers’ expense that will be tasked with trying to predict the future.
Sponsored by the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), a division of the office of the director of national intelligence, the Forecasting World Events Project plans to assemble five competing panels whose members will make predictions about future events and global trends. According to the project’s website, their objective is to investigate the accuracy of individual and group predictions that could lead to fundamental advances in the science of forecasting.
This is the latest in a series of off-the-wall experiments IARPA has launched since its creation in 2007. The cost to taxpayers remains unknown at this time, as the program is classified. But it is not hard to speculate that it will cost the United States tens of millions of dollars, at least, before it is shut down. IARPA is the intelligence community’s version of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), a Pentagon undertaking responsible for introducing an Orwellian domestic spying program known as Total Information Awareness (TIA). This program was a massive data mining operation that utilizes ultra large scale computers to track the movements of millions of American citizens in an attempt to identify patterns consistent with alleged terrorist activity.
In 2003, DARPA proposed its own forecasting project called the Policy Analysis Market for Terrorism. The plan was to establish an online trading venue whereby investors could speculate on future political and economic turmoil in the Middle East—such as coups, assassinations and terrorist attacks.
The organization that has been awarded taxpayer dollars to conduct IARPA’s forecasting project is MITRE, a Maryland based “not-for-profit” mercenary firm whose board chairman is former Defense Secretary James Schlesinger.
Schlesinger is a notorious fear-monger and advocate for the “war on terror” whose hawkish ideology can be summed up in his 1997 address to the Council on Foreign Relations regarding the CIA’s future:
“Today the intelligence community is under assault partly because of a natural complacency after the end of the Cold War in which the American people believe that we in this country are unthreatened,” opined Schlesinger.
During his tenure as defense secretary under Gerald Ford, Schlesinger insisted on higher war budgets and no compromise negotiations with the Soviets. His harsh criticism of certain dovish congressional members ultimately led to his dismissal.

Schlesinger’s not-for-profit outfit came under public scrutiny in September 2004 when former DARPA employee Indira Singh testified before the 911 Commission and identified MITRE as one of two technology contractors that had unique access to systems capable of disabling NORAD and disrupting American air defenses during Sept. 11, 2001.
“Ptech [software company—Ed.] was with MITRE Corporation in the basement of the FAA for two years prior to 911,” Singh said. “Their specific job is to look at interoperability issues the FAA had with NORAD and the Air Force in the case of an emergency. If anyone was in a position to know the FAA—that there was a window of opportunity to insert software or to change anything—it would have been Ptech along with MITRE.”
MITRE is also the last place of employment for John P. Wheeler III, a former CFR member and aide to Ronald Reagan. Wheeler’s dead body was found in a Delaware landfill earlier this year. Less than a week before his death, Wheeler emailed a close friend expressing concern that the United States wasn’t sufficiently prepared for cyber-warfare, suggesting he was involved in one of MITRE’s many cyber-intelligence projects.
To gain insight into what MITRE may be trying to accomplish with its forecasting project, AFP consulted Phillip Giraldi, a former CIA station chief who now serves as executive director of the Council for the National Interest. He is also a respected columnist and television commentator whose works regularly appear on news websites, among other places.
“The U.S. government is fixated with matrixing and mathematical analysis,” said Giraldi. “What they’re trying to do is get a broad database with as many inputs as they can. . . . The theory here is that the unlettered and the unschooled and the unsophisticated—if you take a great mass of them, and pool their perceptions, you will find that their perceptions can be of value.”
But overall, Giraldi doesn’t see much promise in the project. Giraldi said that most in the intelligence community roll their eyes in regard to such programs.
“When I served in the agency, we referred to it as the flavor of the week,” he said. “Every so often, someone would come up with an idea, and if they were high enough in the food chain, that idea would become manifest. Whenever that happened, you just dealt with it until somebody realized the idea was stupid.”

On Nov. 27 Bloomberg released an explosive report revealing that the Federal Reserve lent $7.77 trillion to the top U.S. banks during 2008-2009 virtually debt free. By taking advantage of these rates, the banks earned an estimated $13 billion.
The report goes on to say that although the banks had received a $700 billion TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program) bailout from the government in the fall of 2008, they did not want to reveal the real depth of their insolvency. The Fed secretly worked with the top banks and on Dec. 5, 2008 lent them another $1.2 trillion to help them get on their feet again.
“The banks continued to borrow tens of thousands of dollars” says the report. “Add up guarantees and lending limits, and the Fed had committed $7.77 trillion as of March 2009 to rescuing the financial system, more than half the value of everything produced in the U.S. that year.”
This report is so full of lies and half-truths it’s not funny. What are these mysterious “guarantees and lending limits?” These top banks in essence split all this money amongst themselves. Citigroup got $1.76 trillion, Morgan Stanley $1.36 trillion, Merrill Lynch $1.28 trillion…on down the line.
The banks that received this money are called Primary Dealers and they enjoy a cozy relationship with the Fed. One could even say they are the Fed. They are JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo. The private banks that comprise the misnamed Fed are JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Rothschild of London, Rothschild of Berlin, Warburg of New York, Warburg of Amsterdam, Kuhn Loeb of New York, Lazard Brothers of Paris, and Israel Moses Seif of Italy.
Notice That JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs are in both groups and the rest are surely interrelated also. So in essence the banks lent themselves money that belongs to us. If the Fed lent $7.77 to the U.S. at no interest – which is how it is supposed to work – then the economy would be up and running overnight.
Another big lie is that these banks were ever in need of a bailout. In 2008 they all made billions in profits. JP Morgan made $15.4 billion, Goldman Sachs $11.6 billion and Bank of America $15 billion. In contrast, GM sustained a $38 billion loss and still stayed afloat.
The report also does not mention that when the Fed was audited in the summer, it was revealed that it was not $7.77 trillion that was secretly lent out by the Fed, but a staggering $17 trillion! Most of the money went to overseas banks. The European Central Bank alone received an eye-popping $8 trillion and the Bank of England almost another trillion.
Through the sleight of hand known as fractional reserve banking, these banks can lend many times more money than they have and collect interest on it. In the U.S they can legally lend ten times as much, and in Europe 33 times. Usually they lend way more than that. Goldman Sachs, aka the Vampire Squid, has been indicted for lending 333 times more! With this kind of leverage the banks had the ability to turn the $17 trillion into at least $400 trillion! And that’s if they followed the rules. That’s “crazy money” when one considers that the whole world only produces about $60 trillion per year.
All this really reveals a very significant secret. That money is not what we think it is. It is all a grand illusion run by those who get to create it. They decide how much to make available and to whom. By convincing us that we have run out of money, they are creating the illusion of bankruptcy, thus making serfs out of all of us.
The whole “financial crisis” we are seeing in Europe and in the U.S. is all smoke and mirrors. If the Fed can create trillions in virtually interest free money for all their banker friends, surely they can do the same for the government they allegedly represent. There is no depression. The Fed is simply driving us into the ground while their friends earn untold billions from our misery.

The Alternative Futures Symposium in Chantilly, Va. was all part of the U.S. Army’s Unified Quest 2012 exercise, the latest in a series of annual war games that in recent years has focused on America’s response to a global financial meltdown in which average citizens took to the streets en masse.
In November 2010, CNBC’s Eamon Javers had this to say about last year’s exercise: “Ever since the crash of 2008, the defense-intelligence establishment has been paying a lot of attention to global markets and how they can serve as a threat to U.S. national security interests.”
Javers went on to report: “The Army is having a very interesting yearlong exercise called Unified Quest 2011. In that war-gaming series, the Army is looking at the implications of a large-scale economic breakdown in the U.S. that would force the Army to keep domestic order amid civil unrest and deal with global fragmented power and drastically lower budgets.”...[Full Article]

For the second year in a row, more U.S. soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan have committed suicide than died in battle, according to recent statistics released by the Pentagon. This is an unprecedented trend that has the military’s top brass as well as the White House looking for answers.
“If you know the one thing that causes people to commit suicide, please let us know, because we don’t know,” Gen. Peter Chiarelli told Army Times.
Specifically, 468 soldiers have taken their own lives this year versus 462 who were killed in combat.
The problem is, many soldiers coming home from war suffer a variety of psychological problems caused by multiple tours of duty in the Middle East. They have been diagnosed with deep depression, substance abuse, anxiety and posttraumatic stress disorder.
To this cornucopia of psychological afflictions, several causes have been attributed.
There is the trauma of seeing a friend blown to pieces in front of your eyes or being forced to kill innocent people that have done absolutely nothing to you.
There is also an increasing number of violent street-gang members, criminals and homosexuals enlisting in the military as recruiters continue to lower their standards in what has become the biggest “growth industry” in today’s economy.
The government has always depended on propaganda in order to give troops the incentive to kill the enemy. That job is rendered easier when foreign nations attack one’s own country. The objectives are much clearer when troops believe they are fighting to defend their country and family from invaders or a foreign oppressor. Suicide among the troops wasn’t a problem in the War of Independence or the War of 1812. During WWII, few suicides were reported, due to the perception that foreign enemies had attacked us first at Pearl Harbor (hardly anyone realized, at the time, that the Japanese had deliberately been set up by FDR).
Selling the war became harder in Vietnam where our soldiers were asked to kill “the yellow man” simply for an ideology.
In Iraq and Afghanistan, the problem is much bigger because both wars are based on multiple, blatant lies. More and more Americans today reject the lies told about 9-11 and are seeing it as an inside/Mossad job. In Afghanistan, the enigmatic Osama bin Laden—the supposed culprit whose capture was said to be the objective of our invasion—has already “died” at least twice, but months or years later the U.S. military continues to fight in that country for no clear reason. The U.S. invaded Iraq and killed hundreds of thousands of civilians, while thousands of our own boys died, under the pretense that weapons of mass destruction threatened the United States.
Even the least philosophical soldier has to wonder why his best friends were killed in a never-ending, meaningless, illegal and no-win war.
Instead of chasing psychobabble phantoms in therapy sessions with traumatized GIs, the top brass should be looking for ways to bring the troops home immediately. That could solve the growing suicide problem.

The New Jersey police officer responsible for capturing five Israelis who filmed and celebrated while the World Trade Center towers burned has broken his silence, agreeing to a Sept. 16 exclusive interview with AMERICAN FREE PRESS.
As AFP readers are no doubt aware, these are the same Israelis who were working under the direction of Urban Moving Systems, a Mossad front company at the center of Israeli involvement in the Sept. 11 attacks.
Sgt. Scott DeCarlo has never spoken to the media about the details of that day except for two 30-second cameo appearances in Internet videos from undetermined sources. In fact, DeCarlo confirmed that this is the first, and last, interview he will ever grant in regard to this subject.
DeCarlo revealed to AFP hidden details about the events of 9-11 that mainstream media venues should have uncovered 10 years ago, if not for their near-total blackout of meaningful coverage where Israel is concerned.
Although not scheduled to work that day, DeCarlo reported anyway and “was posted on the highway” to prevent traffic from entering New York City.
“There was a BOLO, which is a ‘Be On the Look Out’ for a particular van, perhaps loaded with explosives,” explained DeCarlo, “that may have been on its way to destroy the George Washington Bridge.”
DeCarlo explained: “It [the suspicious van] happened to come our way, and I grabbed my sergeant [DeCarlo himself was a patrolman at that time] and said: ‘Hey, man, that’s our van.’ It wasn’t the exact license plate given reported—it was off by one numeral—but I said: ‘That’s gotta be it; it’s just too close.’”
He continued: “The van was coming off the [N.J.] Turnpike trying to get on Route 3. Traffic was rolling at two miles an hour, so we got in front of the van on foot, weapons drawn, and stopped it.”
All five of the Israeli spies refused to exit their vehicle, so DeCarlo was forced to get physical.
“We asked them to get out of the van, but they didn’t listen,” he said. “So, we . . . put them in handcuffs and did it as quickly as possible.”
AFP asked DeCarlo why he thought the Israelis refused to follow his orders. DeCarlo was unsure, but asked this writer, “You ever have a gun pointed at your head?”
DeCarlo then described what happened after the spies were dragged from their van. “When we removed them, one of the guys that was rather chatty said: ‘We’re not your enemy, we’re your friend. Our enemies are your enemies,’” DeCarlo said. “At that point they said they were from Israel. They kept saying, ‘Hey, we’re on your side.’”
“We brought them over to the New Jersey State Police holding cells in the Meadowlands Stadium, and that’s the last I saw of them,” he said. Shortly after that, the FBI reportedly took over. The five Israelis were held for 10 weeks, but were eventually deported to Israel on charges of immigration violations. In November 2001, they appeared on an Israeli TV talk show discussing how they were in the U.S. “to document the event.”
Sgt. DeCarlo asked AFP to request interested parties not to contact him.

Before anyone buys into the premise that Osama bin Laden’s death was faked for political purposes, they first must accept the premise that 9-11 was a staged false-flag terror attack executed by elements within the Israeli government and U.S. neo-cons. The 19 Muslim“hijackers” and al Qaeda served as nothing more than convenient patsies, with bin Laden becoming the ultimate bogeyman.
In the decade since this horrific event, the U.S. taxpayers have spent over $1 trillion—$700 billion in Iraq and $400 billion in Afghanistan—fighting Israel’s wars. While college students cheered in front of the White House and others celebrated bin Laden’s demise in Times Square, they failed to comprehend one vital fact:
America’s economy is being bankrupted by a military-industrial- banking machine that, at least in part, resulted from our continuing “war on terror.”
For nearly 10 years, bin Laden stood at the center of this perpetual war—an enemy that could be everywhere, nowhere, or anyplace in between. But few realize that the CIA originally created this six-foot-five-inch 9-11 “mastermind” in the late 1970s after the Soviets invaded Afghanistan.
Oddly enough, bin Laden’s relatives had been engaging in business deals with the Bush family since the early 1970s. Around this same time, as the Vietnam War came to a close, the CIA needed greener pastures for its lucrative opium trade.
So, after Russia’s humiliating defeat, Afghanistan’s drug trade flourished as bin Laden became the undisputed leader of al Qaeda. After a major oil deal went awry and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East became a major stumbling block, a break ensued between the Taliban and Western leaders.
Unable to resolve their disputes, those in the Project for a New American Century (PNAC) decided that they needed a “new Pearl Harbor” to once again get Americans primed for a series of long, protracted wars.
PNAC advocates simply couldn’t unleash an unprovoked attack on Afghanistan and Iraq, so the invention of a new enemy was a prerequisite.
It is believed bin Laden, a long-time CIA asset who was suffering from kidney failure in the months preceding 9-11, died in December 2001. But his death didn’t stop U.S. and Israeli leaders and the controlled media from making him the poster boy for global terrorism, a role he held until he was finally killed off a second time in Pakistan.

In 2008 Albert Gonzalez was charged with committing the largest cyber crime in U.S. history. Today, Gonzalez claims the Secret Service, with whom he was working as a paid informant, sanctioned his actions. An examination of the facts seems to validate his claims that he is a scapegoat used to protect far deeper conspiracies.
Gonzalez was recruited by the Secret Service in 2003 and officially released from its employ in 2008. He assisted the government in arresting dozens of the world’s most wanted cyber criminals. It was also during this time that the pieces of a much larger criminal puzzle came into focus by the Justice Department. According to The New York Times last year, the Justice Department’s chief cyber crime prosecutor, Kim Peretti, described in 2005 that she encountered a new cyber crime wave unlike anything ever seen before.
“The service keeps calling me, saying, ‘We’ve got another company that contacted us.’ The volume was getting bigger and bigger,” Ms. Peretti said. It is true. Cyber crime is huge business, netting criminals in Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe hundreds of billions of dollars in stolen money every year. No one is immune from cyber crime, either.
In 2010, AmericanFreePress.net, the website operated by AFP, was targeted by cyber criminals on two occasions. The second attack was so destructive that it took down the entire website for a week, forcing drastic changes in the way the site is managed.
As far as Gonzalez is concerned, the Secret Service worked closely with and was educated by Gonzalez for years. The Times states that Ms. Peretti achieved her position because of Gonzalez.

Were those results on behalf of the U.S. government criminal in nature? In an April 8, 2011 Wired report, Gonzalez wrote, in a legal motion to withdraw his guilty plea, that Secret Service agent Steve Ward once told him, “Go do your thing . . . just don’t get caught.”
SC Magazine also cited Gonzalez’s motion. “The agents had me infiltrating chat rooms, setting people up, and then the agents would bust them. . . . They told me do what [I] have to do, just try not to get caught. All the time, I was educating the agents as to hacking methods and computer crimes.”
It seems possible that Gonzalez was following orders by hacking some 170 million credit card files from America’s biggest retailers, including the highly publicized TJ Maxx case. Perhaps he was allowed to keep some of the profits while recruiting other hackers to assist him in the acquisition of data, or he was instructed to use the evidence to frame other hackers whom the government was chasing.
Maybe the scope of this operation is the only reason Gonzalez hasn’t been “suicided” while in prison. The Times reporter states, “One of the imprisoned hackers told me there were major chains and big hacks that would dwarf TJ Maxx. I’m just waiting for them to indict us for the rest of them.”
Conceivably, after sitting in jail for a few years, Gonzalez realizes that his former employers intend for him to actually serve his 20-year sentence, and that’s why he’s now speaking out.
With the potential for credit card data theft to be monumentally larger, Gonzalez could have been an unwitting participant in a much bigger plan: worldwide financial collapse. In February 2010 the U.S. government had an exercise called Cyber Shockwave to see how this could manifest.

9-11 Fairy Tale Excuse for Endless War

After suffering through eight years of the Bush-Cheney war machine, Barack Obama’s 2008 victory was supposed to usher in a new era of tranquility. To great acclaim, this recently elected “peace president” promised hope, change and an end to the imperialistic aims of his neo-conservative predecessor.
Yet two years later, the United States is now entangled in its third official war as the situation in Libya continues to escalate. Further, to the dismay of his most loyal supporters, Obama’s policies are becoming a mirror image of the man he derided for years.
The similarities between Bush’s Iraq war and Obama’s Libyan campaign are particularly troublesome. Both men sought United Nations approval prior to their attacks, while each justified their preemptive attacks on “humanitarian” grounds.
Even eerier, Bush and Obama based these wars on what “could potentially happen”—i.e., weapons of mass destruction purportedly hidden by Saddam Hussein, and a potential slaughter in a Libyan city. In addition, Iraq and Libya both hold vast oil reserves, each of their leaders was staunchly anti-Israel and neither U.S. president provided clear-cut exit strategies.
If that’s not enough, Obama has continued the abhorrent Bush-Cheney practice of “extraordinary rendition,” whereby captured “terrorists” are drugged and then secretly sent to foreign countries to be tortured. He has kept the prison at Guantanamo Bay open. He has escalated drone predator attacks in Pakistan and has increased troop levels in Afghanistan.
Obama even has his own “war criminal” scandal. Whereas Bush and Rumsfeld were scandalized by the Abu Ghraib nightmare, the current president now has to answer for even more inhumane “kill team” photos that occurred on his watch.
This story was detailed in AFP’s April 11 edition on page 4, which includes graphic photos of U.S. soldiers taking trophy shots with murdered Afghans. As Daniel Bates and Mark Duell wrote for the Daily Mail on March 29: “In one horrific episode in the latest scandal, troops allegedly threw a grenade at an innocent Afghan boy before chopping off his finger and using it as a gambling chip.”
Democrats and Republicans alike are incensed by the fact that whereas Bush at least received congressional approval prior to his war efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq, Obama failed to even make that simple gesture.
As AFP recently noted, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) has gone so far as to label the president’s Libyan attack an “impeachable offense.”
After promising not to place any American combat boots on the ground in Libya, on March 30 Obama signed a secret presidential finding to green-light covert operations by the CIA and other “intel” agencies.
Prior to this move, activist Ralph Nader declared that if George W. Bush was guilty of “war crimes,” then so is Obama. Time magazine’s Mark Halperin quipped that Obama is more “hawkish” than the man he replaced.
Likewise, filmmaker Michael Moore demanded that Obama return his 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. All of the international meddling and war-making of the Bush and Obama administrations is based on the massive fiction that on Sept. 11, 2001, some terrorists hijacked Boeing 767s, took over the complicated controls and crashed them into buildings built to withstand any such shock, after which the buildings crashed to the ground.
All honest engineers who have analyzed this fairy tale have branded it a ridiculous lie. Meanwhile, Larry Silverstein, the owner of one of the buildings, wants billions of dollars from insurance companies that accept the official line. This fable is even beyond what one can find in the wildest children’s storybook.

Perhaps the most compelling direct testimony regarding the harrowing events of Sept. 11, 2001 comes from survivor and former Army Spec. April Gallop, who—with her two-month-old child, Elisha, in tow—arrived at the Pentagon just minutes before a powerful explosion rocked the building that Tuesday morning. Ms. Gallop spoke out on her experience at conferences where this AFP writer heard her story—which has never wavered.
Ms. Gallop wants justice. So, in coordination with the Center for 911 Justice, she filed a federal lawsuit and is staying the course, whatever the odds. The defendants are former Vice President Dick Cheney, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, and Gen. Richard Myers (USAF, retired), former acting Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman.
Transportation Secretary and eyewitness Norman Mineta testified to the now disbanded 911 Commission that Cheney, on duty during the attacks, urgently spoke of an approaching hostile attack against the Pentagon but, incredibly, ordered a military stand down. Since the World Trade Center in Manhattan had already been hit, Ms. Gallop continues to ask why neither air defenses nor alarm warnings were implemented in and around the Pentagon.
The moment she turned on her work computer on Sept. 11, 2001, a powerful blast knocked her unconscious. Injured, she soon awoke with debris on her, even while reaching around and pulling her child, also injured, who survived, from the debris pile.
When Ms. Gallop exited the building through the hole made by the explosion, she saw no sign of plane wreckage. Yet the world is still told 10 years later that American Airlines Flight 77 rammed into history’s most sophisticated command center without any attempted interception and vaporized, which various researchers say is absurd.
Ms. Gallop also maintains that federal officials repeatedly preached to her that a large commercial airliner hit the Pentagon and that she was strongly advised not to state otherwise.
“I could have very early given up,” Ms. Gallop told AFP March 29. “My efforts are much larger than many people think they are.” She now is fighting to obtain subpoena power, with the help of attorney William Veale and support through Centerfor911Justice.org.
Talking with AFP, she asked: “Do we want certain people in a position where they cannot ever be brought to justice?”
Federal District Judge Denny Chin dismissed Ms. Gallop’s lawsuit in a lower court, claiming that the complaint was based on “cynical delusion and fantasy.” But Ms. Gallop won’t buckle. Her appeal, as AFP went to press, was slated to go before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit on April 5 in New Haven, Conn. She is citing a “violation of civil rights, conspiracy and other wrongs,” the complaint states.
“This case . . . is premised on an allegation of broad complicity in the attack on the part of key U.S. government officials,” the complainant said.

SOROS CONVENES ‘BRETTON WOODS II’

Internationalist billionaire George Soros is holding his international conference April 8 to April 11 at Bretton Woods, N.H., the noted birthplace of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, where he plans to “rearrange the entire financial order,” as he noted in a November 2009 article in The Japan Times Online.
This “Bretton Woods II” comes along just as the Trilateral Commission will be meeting at the same time in Washington, D.C. With an apparent goal of creating nothing less than a new global economy, Soros is spending $50 million in New Hampshire to bring together up to 200 academic, business and government policy leaders under his Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET).
As AFP goes to press, the attendees are to include ex-Fed Chairman Paul Volcker, former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and World Bank executive and Nobel Prize winner in economics Joseph Stiglitz.
The conference is slated for the Mount Washington Hotel, site of the historic 1944 Bretton Woods conference, which established the post-World War II international financial architecture.
Soros chose this site because he expects his proposed reforms to be as radical as those promoted by British economist John Maynard Keynes, the much-praised “genius” of the original Bretton Woods project.
Keynesian economics have been portrayed as a cure to the Western world’s postwar devastation, in that governments were liberated of money creation restrictions imposed by the gold standard, even while global financiers controlled much of the world’s gold like they do now. Governments, under the new paradigm after the war, were encouraged to promote economic growth and macroeconomic stability by creating more debt-based money for everything that ailed the economy—debt that has brought most of the world’s economies to the brink of bankruptcy.
Now Soros comes along as the new Keynes to save the day by proposing another miracle solution to our problems, couched in lofty doublespeak such as “reform,” “cooperation” and “equal participation.” Soros is proposing the end of sovereignty as we know it.
“Reorganizing the world order will need to extend beyond the financial system,” Soros wrote in his opinion piece.
Soros is saying that a washed-up America should be replaced by a world government with a global currency under UN rule. He also advocates that China should be top dog while we play second fiddle. What Soros doesn’t say is that two decades of outsourcing U.S. industry, opening the borders and bankrupting the economy with pointless wars and other debacles have been intentionally orchestrated so that now international bankers can tell the world the system is broken and that the individuals who broke it need to show us how to fix it.
Georgy Schwartz, aka George Soros, is a Hungarian Jew who has been described as anti-God, anti-family and anti-American. By his own admission he even helped confiscate the homes of fellow Jews in Hungary in 1944.
In an interview with Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes he said 1944 was the best year of his life. Asked by Kroft if he felt any remorse, he answered, “No, not at all; I rather enjoyed it.”
“No feelings of guilt?” asked Kroft. “No,” answered Soros, “only feelings of power.”
Soros made his first billion as a currency speculator in 1992 by shorting the British pound and causing misery to millions of hardworking British citizens. He went on to cause the 1999 Russiagate scandal, almost collapsing the Russian economy. It was described as “one of the greatest social robberies in human history.”
He did the same to Thailand and Malaysia in 1997, causing the Asian financial crisis of that time. Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad called him “a villain and a moron,” while Thailand's PM referred to him as “Dracula.” He also helped dismantle Yugoslavia and caused major trouble in Japan, Indonesia, Georgia, Ukraine and Burma by raiding their economies.
Soros also fosters cultural degeneracy by supporting abortion rights, atheism, drug legalization, sex education, euthanasia, feminism, gun control, globalization, mass immigration, gay marriage etc. Soros funded Barack Obama’s campaign and often visits the White House.
At 81, taking down America appears to be his final challenge. “The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States. The time has come for a very serious adjustment,” he said.

The United States, under Bilderberg-Trilateral Commission orders, is now engaged in not two, but three wars in the Middle East where America has no legitimate national interest. But the world’s entrenched international financiers do have a huge interest in war profits, purchased at the cost of soldiers’ blood. These powerful globalists also perceive maverick rulers like Libya’s Muammar Qadaffi as roadblocks in their push for establishing a world regime.
Before the U.S. joined the invasion, Qadaffi sent a personal letter to President Obama in which he reportedly told Obama that Islamic fundamentalists tied to al Qaeda were the primary source of the ongoing political troubles in North Africa—including Libya. Qadaffi challenged Obama: “If you had found them taking over American cities by the force of arms, tell me what you would do?”
This was no “crazy conspiracy theory” coming from the eccentric Libyan strongman alone. Even Secretary of Defense Robert Gates—among other highlevel figures in the American military diplomatic intelligence community—raised concerns (like Qadaffi) about the possibility al Qaeda might be responsible for some of the unrest in Libya and/or that al Qaeda could benefit from the consequences of American intervention.
Qadaffi also sent terse notes to heads of state in France, Britain and to the UN secretary-general, also saying: “You never have the right to intervene in our internal affairs. Who gave you that right? Our country is not your country.”

American non-interventionists—who honor the words of President George Washington who cautioned his countrymen not to become involved in the affairs of other nations—find wisdom in Qadaffi’s words, even if they do not like his style of governing. If the United States intervened in every nation where dictators hold sway, Americans would have been at war with the Soviet Union, the People’s Republic of China and virtually every nation in Africa, to name but a few.
And while warmongering elements within the pro Israel “neoconservative” network and their congressional allies such as Sens. John McCain (RAriz.) and Joe Lieberman (IConn.) were calling for U.S. military intervention in Libya, even the neoconservative Washington Times, which is fiercely anti-Qadaffi and eager for his ouster, admitted in a front page story that many top retired military leaders were quietly urging the Obama administration to avoid intervention in Libya.
While the globalists were manipulating the United States into war in Libya—which is looking increasingly like it is about to become a classic “quagmire” of the Vietnam-Afghanistan-Iraq mode—two-thirds of Americans among a broad cross section in several polls expressed opposition to the Afghanistan war. In addition, polls show that many Americans believe the U.S. cannot afford another war given the current state of the economic situation and joblessness in the United States.
Nevertheless, Bilderberg-Trilateral Commission power is so strong that these two pro world government groups were able to put America’s fighting men and women into harm’s way, and they did it by having the president seek guidance, not from Congress, but from the world’s governmental body—the UN. As we go to press, the United States is raining bombs down on Libyan cities in another undeclared war.

AFP’S JIM TUCKER MAKING PLANS TO BE IN ST. MORITZ FROM JUNE 9-12

The shadowy group known as Bilderberg will be gathering this year for its annual meeting at the resort city of St. Moritz, in southeastern Switzerland, June 9-12, but they will have a lot of company. St. Moritz is a short distance from Davos, the site of the regular high-priced meeting of thousands of bankers, political leaders and other notables called the World Economic Forum. But unlike at Davos, where the press is always welcome, Bilderberg still tries to maintain absolute secrecy.
Bilderberg has met in Switzerland four times over the years but never in the same city. Normally, when their sibling in crime, the Trilateral Commission (TC), meets in North America, Bilderberg does, too. This year, the TC will meet in Washington on April 8 to 10, but the Bilderbergers are avoiding the United States, in what may be an effort to fool the press.
Bilderberg has been called the most exclusive and secretive club in the world. To be admitted, you have to own a multinational bank, a multinational corporation or a country. Since its first meeting in 1953, it has been attended by the top powerbrokers, financial minds and world leaders.
The Bilderbergers hope that part of their common agenda with the “Trilateralists” will be accomplished by the time they meet: a U.S. invasion of Libya to generate increased Middle East turmoil so America can go to war with Iran, on Israel’s behalf.
As has happened for several years, the Bilderbergers will blubber about how “ evil nationalists” are blocking their efforts to achieve world government. They will order oil prices to climb so desperate Americans might be made more willing to surrender sovereignty to a world government. They will promote wars for profit, and will advance the call for a world government to impose peace—as if peace can be imposed.
It is ironic that Bilderberg attendees love Switzerland so much because they are poles apart politically from Switzerland, which declared itself a non-interventionist neutral country four centuries ago. It has been involved in none of the world’s bloody wars since.
The Bilderbergers can expect to be loudly greeted by AFP, European news outlets and some in the U.S. independent media. In Europe, major metropolitan daily newspapers from Paris, London and other cities give major coverage to Bilderberg. But The Washington Post, The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times and their numerous chains will submit to muzzling because their top representatives are actual Bilderberg participants themselves.

Forty years ago, author Lindsey Williams served as chaplain for the oil companies that built the Trans-Alaska oil pipeline. During the 1970s—invited to sit in on highly secret meetings—Williams inadvertently learned the long-term plans regarding the Middle East and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, or OPEC. The title of his noted book, The Energy Non-Crisis, a few years later highlighted Williams’s whistle-blowing on this matter. But what Williams has to say today may help us understand why regimes are being challenged or toppled in various countries in the growing unrest in the Middle East.
According to Williams, the deal was consummated decades ago when Henry Kissinger came to terms with the Middle Eastern oil-rich nations, agreeing that the United States would make them very wealthy by buying their oil. Although the United States has enough oil in Alaska alone to last for several centuries, America would largely agree to leave it underground and produce limited amounts of oil in the United States.
In return, the oil sheiks would take a portion of their oil-sales income and buy U.S. debt, including Treasury securities and other paper—something Williams reported three decades ago.
The new information that he has gone public with is that the elite are about to renege on the deal and double cross those nations and OPEC—and it is ultimately about furtherance of the New World Order.
In Williams’s view, the crisis in Egypt was exacerbated by the CIA with paid agitators. And although they did not initiate the unrest, the Muslim Brotherhood is being manipulated by the elite in the crisis areas in the aftermath.
The prediction is that, because of the ongoing crisis and the continued decline of the dollar, oil will go to $150 and then to $200 a barrel before the year is out. When it reaches these levels, Williams says, the plan is to cease purchasing oil from the Middle East and begin extracting it from Gull Island in Alaska’s Prudhoe Bay, from the nearby Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) in Alaska, and from the Bakken formation where North Dakota meets Canada.
In addition, 2 trillion barrels of shale oil lie beneath the Rocky Mountains may be tapped. Such a welcome retaliation to the Arab oil czars will certainly be applauded by the American people, who will be told that it is being done to lower prices at U.S. pumps. However, when such a result never comes and gasoline prices soar to $6 a gallon anyway, the American people will realize, too late again, that the only change made has been in who harvests the vast profits.
AFP has reported extensively in recent years on both the Bakken formation and Gull Island, pointing out the practical need to tap those huge
domestic oil sources, along with using bio-fuels, ethanol and other alternatives, so the U.S. can become more oil-independent but also rely on a variety of fuels to boost the overall economy through diversification.
If Williams is correct and the “end game” is to bring the United States more fully into the NWO, then much has already been accomplished toward that goal by shipping U.S. jobs and factories overseas, and by the decline of the dollar. China could conceivably replace the U.S. as the top world power, and the dollar would no longer be the world’s reserve currency.

If neo-conservative, Israel-first wonks in the Obama administration have their way, the U.S. will open a third front, against Iran, using a successful strategy that has launched fur previous wars.
Iran's ongoing refusal to fully cooperate with the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has been well covered by mainstream media. Now, portions of an IAEA report made public recently claim Tehran is still in the market for nuclear missiles. Such a disclosure could increase the odds of a USS Liberty-style false-flag attack on elements of the American Navy's Fifth Fleet.
As most AFP readers are aware, Israel tried to sink the Liberty on June 8, 1967 while the vessel was in international waters electronically monitoring the 1967 Arab-Israeli War.
Naval false-flag attacks are quite common in U.S. history when American politicians itch for war. The USS Maine suffered a still-unsolved explosion in Havana Harbor in 1898. This event was used as a pretext for the Spanish-American War. The sinking of the Lusitania in 1915-ostensibly by the Germans- was used in Allied propaganda to whet the public's appetite for hostilities, giving the U.S. a reason to enter the "Great War."
President Roosevelt and Winston Churchill were fully aware of Japan's intent to bomb Pearl Harbor, opening the door for our entrance into World War II.
Finally, the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin incident was used by Johnson administration hawks to open up America's disastrous involvement in the Vietnam War. The National Security Agency later admitted in a 2005 declassified study, "No attack happened that night."
The Fifth Fleet-consisting of a carrier strike group, amphibious ready group or expeditionary strike group, surface combatants, submarines, maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft, and logistics ships run by nearly 15,000 personnel - patrols the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and the East African coast near Kenya.
Although a formidable presence in that ever-unstable region, the Fifth Fleet is vulnerable to destruction by older, less sophisticated Iranian weaponry, as Millennium Challenge 2002, the largest war game exercise in history, revealed. A major participant resigned while the exercise was ongoing, citing the obsession by civilian bureaucrats "that the U.S. military could not and would not be defeated." In light of that war game's results, a more cynical observer could argue that the Fifth Fleet is purposely being put in harm's way.

If global warming extremists have their way, American families would be banned from vacationing by car, lighting a campfire and drinking bottled water. This is not some far-out scenario from a science-fiction novel, but actual plans that are in store for us if the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) succeeds in convincing the world’s leaders that manmade carbon dioxide (CO2) is the “leading threat to humanity and the Earth’s climate.”
Grant R. Jeffrey, author of The Global Warming Deception: How a Secret Elite Plans to Bankrupt America and Steal Your Freedom,* has spent five years researching this topic and definitively proves that claims made by environmental extremists are “the greatest fraud in the history of science.”
Jeffrey, who wrote the recent bestseller Shadow Government, gives his readers the first book to comprehensively counter the claims made by Al Gore and the IPCC, two of the most prominent promoters of the unproven theory that fossil fuel pollution is causing global warming.
Global temperatures have actually been cooling from 1998 to the present, says Jeffrey, reversing most of the temperature gains (1 degree Celsius) of the last 150 years. This 189-page book makes a strong case that the hidden agenda of global warming is global government and is “the greatest threat to our nation and our basic liberties and freedom, as well as our standard of living.”
Jeffrey shows that far from being a pollutant, as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has declared, CO2 is not only a necessary component of plant and animal life, and therefore human existence, but is a trace gas whose concentration in the atmosphere is almost negligible.
The atmosphere contains 78.1 percent nitrogen, 20.9 percent oxygen and 1 percent trace gases, of which CO2 makes up 0.0391 percent of that 1 percent. Man’s contribution to that miniscule amount is just 3 percent of the 0.0391 percent.
“To get an idea of how insignificant manmade CO2 is,” explained Jeffrey, “imagine a stadium filled with a million white balloons representing the molecules in the atmosphere. Man’s contribution from all of our industrial activity throughout history would be represented by only 12 balloons out of 1 million.”
Jeffrey presents reams of scientific evidence that refutes the elite’s claims, including the direct correlation between low sunspot activity and periods of excessively cold winters, the significance of volcanoes, the oceans’ absorption and release of CO2, and the fact “that ocean levels have actually been decreasing and not rising, contrary to global warming forecasters.”
Still not convinced? The real clincher, coming from half a million years of ice core data, is that increases in CO2 levels lag 800 years behind temperature rises and hence cannot cause them.

If there is anything that can be said about the crisis in Egypt—which is reverberating throughout the Middle East—it is that it is ultimately open to multiple interpretations. Any “expert” who purports to give you “the last word” on the topic is deceiving you and perhaps himself. Geopolitical strategists, armchair pundits and conspiracy theory devotees are competing to tell the world “what’s really happening and why,” but there is no single truth to the matter.
First of all, consider the issue of popular unrest in Egypt. All serious evidence indicates Hosni Mubarak’s regime has sustained itself through force and oppression and, not surprisingly, support from the Egyptian military. In addition, Mubarak has maintained a close relationship with the United States and, thus, with Israel, with which Egypt entered a controversial peace agreement in 1979 that remains in effect today.
These factors have preserved Mubarak’s rule—at least until now.
However, within Egypt, there has long been widespread discontent among a variety of domestic sources, ranging from Islamic fundamentalists in the Muslim Brotherhood to more “Western”-oriented young people to working families struggling to pay food bills.
So while there is breadth and apparent depth to the opposition, the critics of Mubarak are by no means united across a wide range of issues. However, the economic turmoil plaguing Egypt in recent months seems to have been a critical factor in helping spark the rebellion.
In short, to suggest that the Egyptian rebellion was orchestrated solely by the United States and/or Israel would ignore genuine grassroots Egyptian concerns.
Israel and the American supporters of Israel know that many Egyptians of all political stripes and religious persuasions have never been comfortable with the U.S.-Israeli-Egyptian relationship and that an element of Egyptian opposition to the Mubarak regime has been its cozy concert with Israel.
As a consequence of this, many pro-Israeli elements are taking a firm stand against “democracy” in Egypt precisely because they fear a popularly elected regime replacing Mubarak could be hostile to Israel, no matter what the new regime’s religious flavor—if any at all.
Note, too, that one of the leading critics of the Mubarak regime is Nobel Prize-winning former International Atomic Energy Agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei. Supporters of Israel consider ElBaradei to be problematic because he was a critic of the Bush administration’s campaign against Saddam Hussein of Iraq, raising questions about Bush claims that Saddam was engaged in building nuclear weapons. Likewise, ElBaradei has stood in the way of Israeli and American efforts to provoke a confrontation with Iran over its efforts to engage in nuclear development.
However, there are more than a few observers who perceive ElBaradei as a ubiquitous double-dealer whose agenda is uncertain In the meantime, despite all of this, it is not a stretch of the imagination to believe that Israel could stand to benefit from turmoil in Egypt. The average observer might find this difficult to understand.

While most rational people would assume that Israel would prefer to have neighboring states that are stable, successful participants in the region, this is not necessarily the case.
In fact, a carefully crafted “think piece” entitled “A Strategy for Israel in the 1980s,” featured in the February 1982 edition of the World Zionist Organization’s Jerusalem-based publication Kivunim: A Journal for Judaism and Zionism, candidly put forth an Israeli strategy to wreak havoc in the Arab world, dividing the Arab states from within. The author was Oded Yinon, an Israeli journalist with close ties to Israel’s Foreign Ministry.
The program—which amounted to “balkanizing” the various Arab republics, splitting them into religious enclaves in which, for example, Shiite Muslims or otherwise Sunni Muslims would predominate—was an agenda
that Israeli dissident Israel Shahak said, quite simply, was designed “to make an imperial Israel into a world power,” by disrupting the Arab states and thereby setting the stage for Israeli dominance in the Mideast.
The formula was founded on the idea of creating chaos among Israel’s Arab neighbors, hardly a policy any decent, well-meaning neighbor could be credited for fostering. In fact, the current-day political and religious divisions and devastation in Iraq—the consequence of the American invasion of Iraq demanded by the pro-Israel lobby in Washington—mirrors precisely what the Zionist position paper laid forth as the ideal state of affairs for Iraq, from an Israeli point of view, that is.
But where does Egypt fit into all of this? Reflecting on the Zionist strategy paper, Ralph Schoenman—an eminent American Jewish critic of Zionism—writing in 1988 in his book, The Hidden History of Zionism, pointedly noted the paper’s intent of “double-crossing Mubarak” and emphasized that the Yinon paper hoped for “the downfall and dissolution of Egypt,” despite the 1979 Camp David peace agreement.
This is geopolitics at its best—or worst—and demonstrates the kind of gambles Israel has historically been willing to take.
After all, Israel helped subsidize and nurture the fledgling Hamas faction within the Palestinian statehood movement, as a means to counter and undermine the secular Fatah faction led by senior Palestinian statesman Yassir Arafat. But Hamas got out of control, grew in popularity, and now stands as one of Israel’s chief rivals.
Such gamesmanship by Israel is part of a philosophy known as “catastrophic Zionism,” a term used almost exclusively by Israeli and Jewish writers.
The theme of “catastrophic Zionism,” sometimes called “war Zionism,” suggests that Israel—as a state— relies on crisis and the potential of war with its neighbors as a foundation of its very existence. This has actually been the belief of many hard-line “right wing” elements going back to the earliest days of Israel.
In short, there are many Zionists who believe such crisis is vital—fundamental—to Israel’s survival. And for this reason, the believers in “catastrophic Zionism” will never lend their support to any policy, domestic or international, that could lead to a final solution of the conflict between Israel and its Arab and Muslim neighbors.
In actual fact, this notion—that peace could be dangerous to the survival of Israel—is a governing concept in the minds of many Israelis and their supporters worldwide.

Is the federal government laying the groundwork for total control of the Internet, the greatest invention for advancing the free, unfiltered flow of information since Gutenberg’s printing press?
Could acts of sabotage, such as an “Internet nuclear bomb,” be deliberately implemented or allowed to happen in order to cripple global computerized systems like the ones found on Wall Street and in the military
in order to convince the world that the Internet must be more tightly controlled?
In a Jan. 10 interview with Russia Today, noted forecaster of business, socioeconomic and political trends Gerald Celente says cyber-warfare by private criminal groups and governments could be used to “bring down entire financial systems. You can blow apart, without ever having to light a fuse, a whole stock exchange. . . . [E]very computer-connected industry or service is a potential target.”
A futurist with an impressive track record, Celente, who founded the Trends Research Institute (TRI) in 1980, has predicted that in response the government has been working to limit Internet-based communications
and shut down computer networks.
Much of this started on Feb. 16, 2010, when a cyber-warfare doomsday scenario was examined in an exercise known as “Cyber Shockwave.” The simulated event was organized by top firms in the military industrial complex and began with a corrupted cell phone application being innocently downloaded during a college sports event.

In real life, computer networks were never affected. But in the demonstration, the phony “virus” spread like wildfire to computers, collapsing the entire Internet and endangering energy grids as well as the financial and commercial sectors.
Following that exercise, newspapers across the country blared headlines that the government was unprepared to deal with the rampant contamination of vital computer networks across the country.
As a result, Washington bureaucrats stepped into action and the Cyber Security Act was introduced. According to the online technology news outlet, CNET News, this legislation “allows the president to declare a cyber-security emergency relating to non-governmental computer networks and do what’s necessary to respond.”
Since then, there has been a glut of news stories describing the “threat” posed by cyber-criminals and the methods by which the U.S. government plans to keep all Americans “safe.”
Unfortunately, all such proactive and “protective” measures involve limiting
or even eliminating legal access and communication by the masses. Controversial websites maintained by this newspaper, THE BARNES REVIEW—or any group that does not fall in line with the government—could be taken over by federal authorities and shut down.
But despite the government’s best efforts to clamp down on the Internet, says Celente, there has been pushback by young, educated people around the world who have refused to be silenced.
Sounding an upbeat note, Celente says, “Every time [government] comes up with a new way to [censor the Internet], a new way to get around it is born.”
Celente predicts a form of cyber-originated popular resistance. He says today’s youth will start this worldwide populist cyber-revolution using a Wiki-Leaks style of reporting, in what he called “Journalism 2.0.”
But questions remain: Would more participants in a popular cyber-rebellion equate to a greater perceived threat, thereby fast-tracking the government’s Internet control mechanisms to the detriment of constitutional freedoms? Could the government purposefully allow cyber-criminals to attack banking institutions to scare the populace into accepting more stringent Internet controls? And how can we ensure cyber-truthseekers are not grouped in with cyber-criminals?
