If you work hard and get prepared, you can survive the economic nightmare that is coming. All over the United States and around the world there are millions of people that are learning how to become more self-sufficient. For example, there is one family that is actually producing 6000 pounds of produce on just 1/10th of an acre right in the middle of Pasadena, California. In fact, they grow so much food that they are able to sell much of it to restaurants in the area. Video of this incredible "urban homestead" is posted below. The key is to start with what you have. The family in the video below would like to have a large acreage, but for now they have turned what they do have into an absolute miracle. Yes, a horrific economic nightmare is coming to this country, but you don't have to be afraid. One of the main reasons why so many of us are trying to warn people about what is coming is so that they will wake up and take massive action to become self-sufficient like the people in the video below have. From "The End of the American Dream" - 03/07/2011
What is the perfect way to get the eyes of the American people off of the real economic problems that this country is facing? Get them fighting with each other of course. And what is one issue that is sure to get the left and the right screaming at each other like cats and dogs? Unions. The battle over collective bargaining rights in Wisconsin has been making headlines around the world for weeks and there are no signs that it is going to end any time soon. In fact, Mordecai Lee, a political scientist at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, says that it is "a battle to the death". The Democrats that have gone AWOL appear to be absolutely determined to stay away. The protesters seem equally determined to keep on fighting. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker does not look like he plans to back down either. Meanwhile, both sides are calling each other the most horrible names. "Hitler", "Stalin", "Nazi" and "fascist" are just a few of the terms that are being thrown around by both sides. What has been going on in Wisconsin has captured the imagination of the entire nation and it is creating even more hate between the left and the right in this country. Unfortunately, as the economic pie in this nation continues to shrink, economic battles such as the one in Wisconsin are going to become quite common. (Read More.....)

The American Dream
Will 2011 be the year that we point to as the beginning of the great global food crisis? Food prices are soaring, supplies are very tight and already we have seen some very intense food protests flare up around the globe this year. When people don't have enough to eat, they tend to become very desperate, and unfortunately it looks like the global food situation is not going to improve much any time soon. Right now the world is really struggling to feed itself, and with each passing day there are even more mouths to feed. It is being projected that the population of the world will reach 9 billion people by the year 2050. There are already way too many people starving to death around the globe, and unfortunately starvation is only going to become more rampant as food supplies get even tighter. Some of the key food producing provinces in China are facing their worst drought in 200 years. Flooding has absolutely devastated agricultural production in Australia and Brazil this winter. Russia is still trying to recover from the horrific drought of last summer. Global weather patterns have gone haywire over the past 12 months, and this is putting immense pressure on a global food system that was already on the verge of a major breakdown.
Food stockpiles all over the world are disturbingly low at this point. If a major global famine broke out not even the United States would be able to last for long. The U.S. government is supposed to be keeping a lot of food stockpiled in the event of an emergency, but that is just not happening.
Right now a desperate scramble for food is beginning. Quite a few nations that used to be huge food exporters are now importing a lot of their food. Prices for staples such as wheat, corn and soybeans are absolutely soaring, and the UN is projecting that they will continue to rise rapidly throughout 2011.
Unless something dramatically changes, the global food situation is only going to get tighter and tighter and tighter as this decade rolls along.
So who is going to decide who gets fed and who doesn't?
As food prices continue to rise, will we start to see more food riots erupt all over the world as starving populations demand answers from their governments?...

The American Dream
The more you read the news today the more likely you are to get really mad. The world is becoming an incredibly crazy place, and at times the amount of bad news that is coming out can seem almost overwhelming. Everywhere you look, the poor are being oppressed, our politicians are making stupid decisions and evil is on the march. The America that so many of us grew up deeply loving is literally being ripped to shreds in a thousand different ways. Unfortunately, those in power have not had any real answers for us in decades. The Democrats don't have any real answers, the Republicans don't have any real answers and the Federal Reserve sure as heck does not have any real answers. In fact, it seems like almost everything that our leaders actually do "accomplish" only makes things worse. The vast majority of Americans are quite busy being entertained by "bread and circuses", but meanwhile our country is literally falling apart.
The following are 20 facts that will make you really mad if you stop and think about them for a while....

The American Dream
Wasn't the Super Bowl wonderful this year? Congratulations to the Green Bay Packers! It is amazing how much money people will spend to attend this game each year. Just a few hours before kickoff, some tickets were selling for over $4000 a seat. Not that it wasn't a great show. It turned out to be a really great game and it was held in perhaps the most extravagant sports facility ever constructed in the history of mankind. Even the halftime show, featuring the Black Eyed Peas, was a spectacle of historic proportions. This year the Super Bowl truly was quite a grand party. In America, everything always has to be bigger and better. We take pride in constantly outdoing ourselves. Other nations of the world look at our great prosperity in envy. But do we ever stop to ask ourselves where all of this great prosperity has come from and if we can continue to afford it all?
The sad truth is that we were once the wealthiest, most prosperous nation on the planet, but now we are deeply drowning in debt. America has become a debt pig that is deeply addicted to debt-fueled prosperity. We had more than any other nation on the planet by far, but that was never good enough for us. We always had to have more. So we borrowed and borrowed and borrowed. Now, average household debt is far larger than average household income, state and local governments across the nation are on the verge of default and our national government has piled up the biggest mountain of debt in the history of the world.
Just read the statistics compiled below. Is there anyone out there that can deny that America has become a fat, bloated debt pig that is completely and totally out of control?
So I hope that you enjoyed the spectacle of Super Bowl Sunday, because there won't be too many more times like this. The greatest debt-fueled party in the history of the world is rapidly coming to an end, and pretty soon it will be time to start turning out the lights.
The following are 17 statistics about debt in America that are almost too outrageous to believe....

American Dream
Over the past week, the mainstream media has not really done a good job of communicating how intense the violence and bloodshed in Egypt has become. Trucks and cars have been plowing into groups of protesters at high speed, dozens of protesters have been shot and killed, and the violence only seems to get more crazy with each passing day. Seriously, if you cannot handle scenes of graphic violence and people dying, then you probably should not watch the videos posted below. These are 10 of the most shocking videos of the protests in Egypt, and they are incredibly graphic. This is a real revolution that is happening in Egypt and it is very bloody.
What you are about to see is what happens when society collapses. When violence and bloodshed erupt, suddenly life starts becoming very cheap. In a couple of the videos posted below, vehicles just plow right over protesters at full speed and the drivers just keep on going. It is absolutely unbelievable.
But are we any better in the United States? As I have written about previously, incredibly violent brawls have been erupting in restaurants all across the nation and we aren't even in the midst of a revolution. So what is going to happen when American society eventually breaks down?
That is something to think about.
For now, there are some very important lessons about humanity that we can learn from what has been happening in Egypt. The videos posted below are so shocking and so graphic that many of you may find them very difficult to watch....

The American Dream
The rioting in Egypt is perhaps the biggest single news story so far in 2011. The pace at which Egyptian society has been transformed over the past week has been absolutely breathtaking. A few months ago, nobody would have ever dreamed that there would be huge riots in the streets of major Egyptian cities calling for the resignation of Hosni Mubarak. But it has happened, and now Egypt will never be the same again. So what does the future hold for Egypt? Well, many are hopeful that this revolution will bring about a better government in Egypt and a better way of life for average Egyptians. Personally, I am not nearly so optimistic. In fact, I believe that there is a great danger that an even more repressive government could take the place of the current regime. But in any event, there are important lessons that the Egypt riots can teach all of us about what happens when society breaks down. Societal collapse is often a very messy, very violent affair. Someday if the global economy completely implodes, we may see economic riots erupt all over the world (including inside the United States) and we all need to get prepared for that. (Read More.....)

The American Dream
The Obama administration is developing a "universal Internet ID" program that would watch, track, monitor and potentially control your activity on the Internet. These "trusted identities" are being touted as a way to increase safety and security on the Internet and as a way to eliminate the need for dozens of different usernames and passwords. But is a universal Internet ID that is issued and controlled by the U.S. government really a good idea? Right now, Obama administration officials are trying to make it seem as non-threatening as possible. They are insisting that it will not be mandatory. They are insisting that it would be impossible for hackers to steal the universal Internet identities. They are insisting that none of our personal information will be gathered or used by federal agencies. But in light of how regularly the government has abused our liberties and freedoms in recent years in the name of "security", should we really believe what they are saying about this new universal Internet ID?
Perhaps to assuage concerns about "Big Brother", the Obama administration is proposing that the U.S. Commerce Department be the one to oversee these new universal Internet identities.
But how long do you think it would take for the Department of Homeland Security (along with several dozen other government agencies) to get involved in "administering" these "trusted identities"?
The potential for government abuse of such a system is absolutely staggering. As we have seen so many times over the past few years, when you give government bureaucrats an inch, often they end up taking several miles.
The video posted below is an excerpt from a CBS News report about these proposed universal Internet identities....
So what are some of the other potential problems of such a system?
Well, by creating a "master key" to the Internet for each and every individual, if it is lost or stolen you could literally lose everything you have worked so hard for in a single day. Imagine what could happen if a very evil hacker gained instant access to your bank account, your credit cards, your Paypal account, your email, your Facebook account, your Twitter account, your Ebay account, your Amazon account, your blogs, your websites and everything else of importance on the Internet that belongs to you.
Just imagine the damage that could be done.
In addition, it would only be a matter of time before this universal Internet ID becomes "a de facto national ID".
In fact, it is not hard to imagine that "in the name of security" Americans would soon be required to link the universal Internet ID to biometric information or even link it to a microchip implant of some sort.
Of course this new program is going to "start out as voluntary", but how many times before has the government introduced "voluntary" programs that later became mandatory?
Once this universal Internet ID is implemented, it is only going to be a matter of time until many different federal agencies and a significant percentage of large corporations begin demanding that people start using it. Eventually it would become extremely difficult to function on the Internet without one. Once that point arrives, it would only be a very small step to make it mandatory for everyone.
Of course right now the Obama administration insists that it is "doing us a favor" by creating a system that would enable us to be able to get rid of the dozens of usernames and passwords that we all use now.
But what all of this really sounds like is the kind of Internet controls that are being imposed in places like China.
The truth is that a universal Internet ID would give the U.S. government more power to license, monitor and police the Internet than they have ever had before.
In fact, some talking heads on the major news networks are already touting this new identification system as a way to "tone down" the "vicious" rhetoric on the Internet.
Of course what that really means is that they want to shut up a lot of the dissenting voices out there because they are not "politically correct" and they don't agree with the version of the "truth" that the establishment media is constantly pushing.
Hopefully the American people will realize that a universal Internet ID controlled by the government would be another gigantic step in the direction of becoming a Big Brother police state. Unfortunately, the American people have not been doing a great job of standing up for liberty and freedom at this point. There was an initial uproar when the new "naked body scanners" were installed at U.S. airports and when airport officials started feeling up our private areas as part of the new "enhanced pat-downs", but most Americans seem to have accepted these "new security procedures" at this point.
So now the Obama administration is ready to push even further. They want to put a chokehold on the last great bastion of free speech in America - the Internet.
Someday if you have to get a license from the U.S. government to read articles like this or to write articles like this, don't say that you weren't warned.

Haven't you heard? The coming economic collapse has officially been canceled. The U.S. economy is in full recovery mode.
